Rex and Boots: Super Sleuths
These costumes were built for an upcoming webseries called Rex and Boots: Super Sleuths. The cat, dog, and ferret puppets were built by Swazzle Inc. All costume pieces were patterned and built from scratch unless otherwise noted.
Wilberforce the ferret wears a butler’s livery consisting of coattails, a tuxedo-striped trouser-tube, a waistcoat, a shirt, and a bowtie.
Rex the dog’s costume is inspired by Sherlock Holmes. He wears an Inverness coat, a plaid waistcoat and trouser-tube, a shirt, a cravat, and a deer-stalker hat.
Boots the cat’s costume is inspired by the plucky film heroines of the 1940’s. She wears a cardigan, art nouveau style brooch, pleated trousers, blouse, and fedora. Her cardigan and brooch were purchased and altered.
