I have spent my entire life studying different techniques of costume construction. My repertoire of skills includes drafting, draping, knitting, crochet, embroidery, millinery, jewelry fabrication, and lapidary, and is constantly expanding. I have a passion for the engineering and problem-solving challenges presented by the construction of wearable art and always seek to find a balance between aesthetics and functionality for each project.
These challenges present themselves most keenly in the format of performative storytelling, such as theatre, film, opera, and dance. I take pride in facilitating creative collaboration to fulfill a collective vision. When working as a member of a team I strive to make sure every voice is heard and that everyone’s goals for the project are aligned.
